Fresh air and caffeine makes Amy a little nuts!
I'm useless this morning. It's such a beautiful day, and I slept with the windows open last night so I didn't want to leave the bed. But, I had to go to the doc for the cholesterol test before work. If I'd have been thinking, I would have gotten up earlier and taken the bus. But I didn't, so I parked at the mall and walked over to the doctor's office. All the City Year volunteers were on the lawn of the statehouse doing the type of callesthenics we did in band camp, which involves a lot of arm flopping and toe touching. Ran into J. who was on his was to jury duty and looking oh so thrilled.
The blood drawing was not as bad as it usually is. In fact, I really didn't even feel the needle. I've never had anyone do it that well. I'd consider trying to give blood again, but I've never had anything less than a 4" bruise from that and they hardly ever get enough from me to be worth it. Plus, technically, I'm not allowed to give blood, according to Red Cross rules. Grrrrrr....
Stopped by Caribou on the way out of the doctor's because I hadn't yet had any breakfast. I should have gotten tea, but a soy latte sounded so nice. So now I have that lovely caffeine "shininess" where the top of my head feels like it's ready to jump off my body.
I cannot figure out the stuff I'm working on today. This is a problem because I only have until Friday to develop this piece. But I don't have all the info I need yet, and no one else has it either. So I'm muddling through with the easy stuff and hoping we all have info later this week.
I must go outside at lunchtime today. It's required.
SPRING!!!!!! SPRING!!!!!
Ahem. As you were.
