A political overheard

regarding anti-democracy feelings in Iraq:

"They don't care if the other guy's poor or what, as long as they have their power.....It's barbaric."

It took about all my strength to not turn around and ask how that was different from the supposedly democratic system in the U.S. right now. Grrrrrr....
