The Aimee Mann show was awesome! It's odd--I knew I liked her as a songwriter, but I'd never realize how much I liked her voice before. I first must note that she was wearing the best outfit--what I'd wear if I was a tall leggy blonde-- jeans, a white jacket, white shirt, and black neck tie. Yum. What can I say, I'm into that whole androgyny thing. She played a few songs off each of the last two records, (and even one from "I'm with Stupid"!) and "Telescope" that she wrote with Elvis Costello (and which her band had never played together before.) One of the coolest things was one of the encores when she played Coldplay's "The Scientist." There was a whole story behind why, and I was soooooo wishing I'd coughed up the cash for that mp3 player/recorder that I saw yesterday while computer shopping with BoyWonder. That would have been awesome to have.

The zoo amphitheatre is a bit odd though. For one thing, it's totally flat, with makes it difficult to see (and for me, hard to call it an amphitheatre.) Plus they allow lawnchairs, which exacerbates that.

I have to get to bed so that I can get up super early and be out of here before the plumber gets here. Seems that the problem that I called my landlord about Friday is a leaky water heater, so they are coming to replace it tomorrow morning. Which means that yet again, the dishes did not get done this weekend because I'm hot-waterless right now.
