Fight Club: The Musical?

Will “Fight Club” become a Broadway musical? Apparently, there are talks to bring the grim Chuck Palahniuk novel - which was turned into a film starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton — to the stage. Set to music. “It’s still in the discussion stage,” Palahniuk’s rep tells The Scoop. . . .

LOLLAPALOOZA, 2004 CANCELS ALL DATES

You can imagine the dismay I share at this moment with the artists and musicians who were looking forward to the tour. Lollapalooza could no longer see fit to continue this year. Our plight is a true indication of the general health of the touring industry and it is across musical genres. Unexhausted is our virtue. We are taking Lollapalooza back and plan on rebuilding and recreating the festival in surroundings more conducive to the cultural experience we've become known for.

I am sooooo disappointed right now. I'm glad a friend of mine here at work broke this to me, rather than me finding out randomly. Guess I have the $ for the ring I wanted now since I'll get a refund on the tix.

There's another festival, with The Cure headlining at Blossom around the same time. Or the Newport Folk Fest, which has a good lineup this year -- I've never been to that either.

PJ Harvey better have a club tour or something instead. Or I might have to pout for a few more years. :-(

I'm glad automat76 procured free tix for Rufus Wainwright/Ben Folds tonight. That will take a bit of sting out.
