OK, I caved last night and started this sweater. I've had the yarn for about six months, and I feel I've gotten far enough on holiday knitting to start this. I have to post this picture, because the colors are gorgeous.

This yarn:

I'm going to try to post some photos of the holiday stuff I have finished, but I need to figure out a way to do that with the security here and the security in my photo host site.

Oh my god, SO pretty!! Is it rude for me to ask how much the yarn cost?

That's fine with me. I ordered it from www.yarnmarket.com (before I realized they are actually in a suburb of Columbus!) and for $105 I got 10 balls of yarn and the two circular needles I needed (and I ordered the expensive Crystal Palace needles, so that I'd qualify for free shipping, go figure).

So yeah, an expensive sweater, but it will be incredibly high quality. Plus, J. Crew sells wool blend sweaters for about that price, so I don't think it's that off the mark.

Had I really tried to get the yarn on ebay or something, I might have done better pricewise, but I fell in love with the color!

Okay, where's Yarn Market? I'm totally going to have to go. Everything you've posted looks fabulous! I need to get in gear. You make me feel like a total slacker!

They are in Pickerington, but I'm not sure if they have a real storefront yet or not. Rumor has it that they are planning on it, but I've not heard confirmation of that yet. Apparently, they will also let you come pick stuff up to avoid shipping, though I ordered so much they shipped for free anyway! :-)

www.yarnmarket.com is their site.
