01. DO YOU HAVE ON A LOT OF MAKE-UP?

Right now, none. Normal daily: sheer foundation, concealer, blush, eyeliner, eyeshadow, lip gloss.


02. HOW MUCH DO YOU PUT ON?

Depends on where I'm going, but not usually a lot. If I'm really going somewhere fancy, I'll get out mascara too!


03. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO GET READY?

For work? Sometimes as little as 15 minutes, if I've showered and dried my hair the night before. I can get makeup on in about 3 minutes flat, so usually the hardest thing is getting dressed.

04. DO YOU PUT ON A LOT OF LIPGLOSS?

Not really, it gets all over the place if I do.

05. DOES YOUR LIPGLOSS SMELL GOOD?

It doesn't smell *bad* but it's not intentionally smelly.


06. DO YOU CARRY A PURSE?

Yep. A huge one to work. Smaller ones for going out.

07. WHAT COLOR IS IT?

I have a bag addiction, so this is hard. My current faves are one black leather shoulderbag, one black microfiber tote, a silk striped orange/green handbag and my floral and dog walker print Kate Spade bags for knitting.

09. DO YOU HAVE A COACH BAG?

I've never liked them, but the new boho ones are cute.


10. DO YOU HAVE A LOUIS VUITTON?

Nope, but my roommie works for them, so there are tons here.


11. HOW MANY PURSES DO YOU HAVE?

Probably around 20 if you count totes and knitting bags.


12. DO YOU LIKE TO WEAR NAILPOLISH?

Yes, I'm way vain about my hands.

13. HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET YOUR NAILS DONE?

About 4 times a year. I do them myself usually.

14. DO YOU LIKE MANICURES?

Yes. But I will be more careful in the future about where. The last one I got, at the nail place in the mall, was frightening.

15. WHAT ABOUT PEDICURES?

Yep. I used to not be able to let people touch my feet, but now that I can, I love it!

16. DO YOU HAVE A USUAL NAIL SALON YOU GO TO?

The Aveda school. It's yummy and cheap.

17. WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR HAIR CUT?

Same.

18. DO YOU DYE YOUR HAIR?

Yes. My hair cannot be red enough.

19. DO YOU STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR?

On occasion. I can usually just blow it out straight though, because it's just a little wavy.

20.DO YOU HAVE LOTS OF PAIRS OF SHOES?

Yes, probably about 40.

21.WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SHOES?

My two absolutely fave pairs are my purple prada Mary Jane heels, brown suede and python open toed Marc Jacobs pumps, but neither of those can be worn out regularly. For everyday, I go with my two pairs of Danskos: clogs and mary janes. And I just got a pair of purple and lilac sneakers I love.

23. DO YOU WEAR HEELS EVERYWHERE?

I used to. Now that I'm a clog addict I wear them less. But I still wear them 2-3 times a week at work.

24. CAN YOU WALK IN HEELS AND NOT FALL OVER?

Yes, and the higher the better. I'm more likely to trip from walking out of a shoe if I'm wearing flats than to fall over in heels.

25. WHERE DO YOU BUY YOUR CLOTHES?

Wherever, but usually The Limited, NY&Co and Express. I also love TJ Maxx for weird things and deals. And J Crew for basics like T-shirts and jeans. We just got an H&M here, so that's good news for me.

26. DO YOU GO SHOPPING EVERY WEEK?

Not buying, but window shopping, yes. I work down the street from a dying urban mall, and pop down often for lunch.

27. WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE STORE?

I really do like The Limited, but if funds were unlimited, I'd go with Anthropologie, Agnes B, and Nordstrom.

28. HOW MUCH DO YOU USUALLY SPEND?

On clothes? Anything. I am queen of the deal (hence why I even own those designer shoes up above) but have been known to throw down some cash on something that I'll be able to "get a lot of good out of" as my g-ma would say.

29. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN DIOR?

Probably when I went to New York, but I don't recall.


30. DO YOU FOLLOW FASHION TRENDS?

Yes. I'm not a slave to it, but I will definitely follow things to some extent. If money were no object, I'd be Carrie Bradshaw.

31. DO YOU HAVE A PAIR OF HUGE SUNGLASSES?

No, my face can't handle them. I do have a pair of obnoxious blue plastic sunglasses with rhinestones and pearls though. That's as big as I get.

35. HOW MANY PAIRS OF EARRINGS DO YOU HAVE?

Probably about 30, but honestly, I have 15 piercings in my ears, so usually I just wear little hoops and the CBRs and barbells that don't come out. I'll wear nicer earrings in my two lobe piercings for special occasions, but I forget a lot.

36. DO YOU WEAR HOOP EARRINGS?

Every day.


37. DO YOU HAVE A LOT OF SKIRTS?

Tons. Several peasant skirts, a lot of tweed. I was cultivating a sexy 60s secretary look for a while, so I have some pencil skirts but right now they are a bit snug.

39. DO YOU GET YOUR EYE BROWS DONE?

When I got the facial from the femmey lesbian who may or may not have been hitting on me, she tweezed them for me. Usually I don't have to do anything to them, because I was on tweezer patrol so religiously in junior high and high school.

40. CAN YOU APPLY MASCARA WITHOUT OPENING YOUR MOUTH?

No, because my cheeks are too chubby, and it's hard enough to not get it all over my face. Usually I skip it because I wear contact lenses and it's not too comfy.

41. DO YOU WEAR A LOT OF EYELINER?

Sometimes. I haven't been using a pencil liner much lately because I saw an episode of "What Not To Wear" and finally learned how to use shadow as a liner effectively. I do love those liquid Urban Decay liners for going out though.


44. DO YOU DO PILATES OR YOGA?

I used to do yoga every day. I'm going to get back into it. I don't like what I've experienced of Pilates though.


45. DO YOU HAVE A LOT OF MAGAZINES?

I subscribe to Vogue Knitting, Cast On, Interweave Knits, and Tin House. I also occasionally read Ready Made, Bust, Ms., Glamour (dos and don'ts only!) and a few others, and my roommate sometimes has Vogue and W from work, which is a special treat. I love magazines and would subscribe to tons more if I had the time and money.
