It's the meme of the week!
1) What's on your bedside table?
Meds, books, magazines, assorted clothing tags and extra buttons, camera, books, assorted cds, cd player, speakers, assorted lotions & bath products, a recipe for zucchini cake (?).
2) What's the geekiest part of your music collection?
I own every single album (& most singles) by Tori Amos and Ani Difranco. And I own a Dead Milkmen album, on cassette.
3) What do you eat when you raid the fridge at night?
I usually don't do this. Really.
4) What is your secret guaranteed weeping film?
This is a hard one. I usually get pissed off at movies that try to make me cry, because I feel pandered to.
5) If you could have plastic surgery, what would you have done?
Could have? I don't think I would. Had too? A slight chin reduction. Or a slight breast reduction/lift. But that's really vain.
6) Do you have a completely irrational fear?
Dogs.
7) What is the little physical habit that gives away your insecure moments?
Looking off to the left, or rubbing the inside of my elbow.
8) Do you ever have to beg?
For what?
9) Do you have too many love interests?
Nope.
10) Describe your bed.
It's my first piece of grown up furniture! And the only one I paid full price (or non-Ikea price) for. It's metal, with tubes that go horizontally on the headboard and footboard and then curve around the posts. I have lots and lots of pillows, and a white pintucked duvet cover that I love. I have a set of Swell sheets from Target that are bubble gum pink that I love too.
11) Spontaneous or plan?
Plan, mostly.
12) Who should play you in a movie about your life?
Drew Barrymore, or Janeane Garafalo.
13) Do you know how to play poker?
Kinda.
14) What do you carry with you at all times?
ID, keys. If I have my purse, I always have Imitrex, a small umbrella, and my planner.
15) How do you drive?
Rather conservatively in the city, which is most of the time. Far too fast on the highway. But I hate hate hate driving.
16) What do you miss most about being little?
Lack of responsibility.
17) Are you happy with your given name?
I wish my middle name (Loren) was spelled "correctly" (Lauren).
18) What color is your bedroom?.
White. I rent.
19) What was the last song you were listening to?
Does someone's cell phone at work count? If not, Tori Amos' "Bells for Her" as played by moi.
20) Have you ever been in a school play?
All four years of high school, in the musical.
Freshman year: Ed(wina) Crankshaft in "Funky Winkerbean's Homecoming" (There truly is a musical based on the comic strip.)
Sophomore year: Ronnette in "Little Shop of Horrors"
Junior Year: [not] the little red haired girl in "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown"
Senior Year: chorus in "Oklahoma!"
21) Do you know anyone famous?
I went to the same college as Jen Garner from Alias, though I think we missed each other by a year or two. I did know Kris Kristofferson's niece there though. I have a lot of friends who are budding writers and filmmakers so I'll probably know someone famous eventually. Oh, and one of my ex-boyfriend's is a Prada model, though he's not in this year's ad campaign that I've seen yet..
