My life is a movie about a cube farm.
I had a truly "office space" moment at work yesterday. About 4:30, there were only about 5 of us left in my area. Right about the time one of the guys was standing up to say, "Hey, have you noticed that printer going for a while?" there was a loud crash. We all ran to go look, and it seems that something went wrong with a one page document that was printed a few hours before, which caused the printer to spew out about 50 pages of postscript code, and then about 150 more of blank paper. The weight was so great, that the arm of the tray that holds the paper up actually broke off! The printer then declared it had a "misfeed" in that area. So we cleaned up the mess and I tried to recycle the paper by putting the blanks through again, but of course that just jammed it again. It was absurdist comedy at it's best.
Last night, went to see the new Woody Allen film with
yerpretty and some of his friends. It was way way better than The Curse of the Jade Scorpion, that I sooooo wanted to like. It had that cool New York on the street feel where someone went "Hey, I've been there" about every 10 minutes. (Hey
automat76--The movie opens in precisely the spot where we passed Yoko Ono in Central Park last year!)
So now, I'm prepared for a weekend of homework-I need to work ahead, because I have 2 exams and a big project due the week after B&J's wedding and I know I'll get nothing done that weekend.
Later this week: Juliana Hatfield! Yay!
