This is rantier than I'd intended....
So I re-dyed my hair last night (and hacked off my own bangs, and gave
automat76 a trim too, which was fun). Then we went to Mac's, which has quite possibly got the distinction of being the smokiest, worst ventilated bar in the Short North. So I came home with smoky hair, but didn't want to wash it because I'd just dyed it. So now, I'm sitting here, smelling the mix of dye, haircolor conditioner and cigarette smoke, and I'm getting a bit woozy.
I cannot wait until we eat our way through the Halloween candy that's sitting next to me. I think I've gained several pounds this month. I'm getting a bit depressed as the weather gets colder because I'm trying to wear clothes from last year, and they just don't fit. I dropped down to the lowest size I've ever been last year, because of 5 day a week yoga classes. Then I went back to school, so had to quit yoga, and have been eating crappy food, so I'm back up to wear I am, two sizes bigger. Which is fine, it's just that I got rid of all the other clothes, and I really don't want to spend the money on new ones. Grrrrr... I need to get myself in the mindset where I do something active when I get home from work to make the transition from work to home, but it's hard when my schedule is as tight as it's been with schoolwork. Hopefully, since I'm only taking one class next term, I can start getting to some yoga classes then. I wasted so much money on that unlimited pass this year though. :-(
Am quickly realizing that as much as I hate the way the winter holidays get earlier and earlier every year, I need to get started on stuff now. My classes don't end until the week before Christmas, and we had a meeting this morning about working 50 hour weeks through the end of November. I'm off Monday for the Chicago trip and Tuesday for Vets day, but other than that, I'm taking no time off through the end of the year, other than our standard office closed holidays.
In happier news, the Belle & Sebastian/Rasputina show is this evening, which should be much fun.

I feel ya. One of my coworkers keeps bringing in candy, and I keep resisting until sometime in the afternoon, and then I break down and end up eating crap candy. Just 'cause it's chocolate and it's there.

Does it have to be after work? Can you get up 20-30 minutes earlier and work out then? Run, do yoga at home, whatever?
