oooooh fun!

I must admit having been skeptical about the new Tori Amos album, which is predominantly remastered older releases. So I wasn't too upset about Magnolia not yet having it in stock, and having to wait a few days to pick it up. But I just found out that you can listen to it on toriamos.com and I've listened to a couple and it's actually quite worth picking it up. She rerecorded "Sweet Dreams" (which is one of my favorite b-sides) with a backing band, and the version of "Way Down" has the backing choral vocals mixed in at a higher volume that makes the song *incredibly* rich.

I'm happy, because I just realized that I have a Barnes & Noble card that [livejournal.com profile] spandita gave me for my bday in my wallet still, so I'll be picking this up tonight!

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the new album. I did pick it up on Tuesday at Target ... the one with the DVD disc was only 12.88! There are a few little extras on most of the tracks and for the most part, I'm pretty happy with it. Yay, Baker Baker!

I guess that's my longwinded way of saying "enjoy!"

I got it last night and am just now putting it in to listen. I must say that so far my only disappointment is that "Professional Widow" is one of the dance mixes that I hear in the gay bar down the street, and not a remaster of the original or even the live version that's on one of the EPs. I love that song, and I'm just not big into dance remixes of Tori. It's still very cool though, and the packaging is awesome.
