Took a non-work related solo vacation (to Kripalu, in February)

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any last year, and usually don't, but this year, I may make some general goals.

No, but the incredible Sambot turned 1, and has a sibling on the way.

Thankfully, no.

None, outside the US.

Probably my job change in April.

Going back to school.

Not applying myself enough in going back to school.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nope.

They psycho in the White House.

Switching jobs.

16. What song will always remind you of 2003?
"a sorta fairytale" by Tori Amos, because I like it (and she got airplay!!!)
and "rock your body" by Justin Timberlake, because at least 3 people near me have admitted that they find it catchy, as do I.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happier, especially in the work situation
ii. thinner or fatter? Fatter, though more accurately, less muscular, since the work schedule trumped the yoga schedule.
iii. richer or poorer? The same, but on more stable financial ground (ie debt is slowly shrinking.)

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Yoga class.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastination. Playing games on popcap.com

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
With the annual Mohawk dinner tonight, Solstice party tomorrow, Grandma & Grandpa's on Sunday, and mom and dad's on Christmas Day.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope.

Three stand out in my head:

Re-discovery of Juliana Hatfield, and the slow creeping in of more male artists into my collection.

My new job.

29. What did you want and not get?
To keep up my yoga practice.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Lost in Translation

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 27, and I went to lunch at Lindey's with my parents, then developed a killer migraine.

32.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Immeasurably? That's hard. Probably having been able to buckle down to studying more would have caused me less stress, but I've never been good at that.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003?
Same as it ever was -- a mix of designer pieces, bargains from Target, and thrift store finds. I did once declare the intention to dress like a 1960s secretary, but that's hard to keep up all the time.
My hair finally grew long enough for pigtails, too, which was fun.

34. What kept you sane?
My friends and bubble baths.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I don't think I'll ever stop proclaiming my undying love for Ewan McGregor. I am also continually impressed with Scarlett Johanssen. And Janeane Garafalo still rocks!

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The war in Iraq, and the misguided actions of the Shrubya administration have made me more interested in foreign policy than ever before. I am also still very concerned with Women's Rights, and am thinking of going to DC for the march in March 2004.

37. Who did you miss?
[livejournal.com profile] spandita, of course!

38. Who was the best new person you met?
I didn't meet a whole lot of new people, but I started hanging out with several people from work in a social context, which was very cool. And reconnecting with [livejournal.com profile] yerpretty is cool too.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2003:
You truly do require more sleep than you did when you were younger. And it's ok to be ok with that.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"Pretty good year..."
