pixiecrinkle: (knitting)

So it's not me!!!!

I just emailed the designer of a scarf pattern on the web to alert them to a slight mistake in the pattern directions. (A slight mistake, which has caused me to rip out 14 rows of my Kureyon scarf three times since Monday!)

I feel like this is a major accomplishment--not just blindly assuming I am doing something wrong, but being able to methodically track down the problem and figure out why my stitch count is off.

And, I feel as if my programming classes have finally paid off, as I have just used my skills to debug a knitting pattern. :-)

Ooo, what a nifty pattern. I'm envisioning it in dark forest green, maybe with a little shading variation but mostly dark... mmmmm. 8-)

Yeah, I think this is good with more earth tone colors, and with colors that are in the same family. I've got some great silk/mohair yarn that I'm going to use to make a scarf for my mom, and I think I might do this pattern. It's light tan, lilac, and darker brown.

Mine on the other hand, may take the prize of "most obnoxious think I've ever knitted" because it's about 12 different colors, including the brightest lime green ever. I haven't decided yet if it's ridiculous or not.
