(no subject)

I have to get dragon naturaly speaking on this computer. I broke my right hand tonight. I'm right-handed.

I'm doing a phone post to explain the rest. Ugh.

oh, crud.

:(

(Dragon has to be trained, getting it up and running might be a big chore.)

I had it on anither computer before, so I'm going to see if there's any chance the database is still on there. Cross your fingers./ I can't. :-)

EEEEP!

*healing vibes* for you.

Thanks!

Oh no! I'd be in big trouble if I broke my right hand, between my job and knitting (which would sadden me much more than the job troubles). Just about exactly the same boat you're in, but add a kid too. :)

[identity profile] pixiecrinkle.livejournal.com 2004-10-22 08:39 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Our new consultants were marveling at my speed the oter day. Guess I fixed that! :-)

[identity profile] xaviermusketeer.livejournal.com 2004-10-22 08:40 am (UTC)(link)
It's all their fault. :) They jinxed you!

How did it happen?

[identity profile] xaviermusketeer.livejournal.com 2004-10-22 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
I figure that is explained in the phone post...which doesn't work on this computer. I'll have to see if I can get it to work!

[identity profile] pixiecrinkle.livejournal.com 2004-10-22 08:56 am (UTC)(link)
I slipped on a rug, and when I caught myself, ran into a wall and bent my ring finger well beyond where it should have been. I knew immediately I'd broken it, but at the time I thought it was my finger.

oh, honey! i broke my right hand too! well not right now...but 2 years ago. and it sucks! I broke several of the bones and i was in a cast for months!
i hope you dont have such an ordeal. the good part is that by the time the cast comes off you are pretty much good at doing ANYTHING with just one hand. usefull skill when you are trying to multi task ;)

[identity profile] pixiecrinkle.livejournal.com 2004-10-22 08:41 am (UTC)(link)
Think I could get to the point of knitting with one hand? Then when I'm better, I could do one project with each hand--which I'l need to do to get all my Christmas gifts done in time! :-)

[identity profile] feylin17.livejournal.com 2004-10-22 09:56 am (UTC)(link)
haha- no i dont think you could knit one handed. i did manage to clear out and organize my yarn stash one handed tho. ;)
but what i can do now is brush my teeth with my left hand while doing some other morning task with my right. pre broken right hand, i never ever would have thought i could learn to do stuff with my non dominant hand. :) Just wait- you'll be able to amaze your frends with your ambidexterity!

Oh damn....healing vibes on the way.

*hugs*

[identity profile] pixiecrinkle.livejournal.com 2004-10-22 08:41 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

[identity profile] cjsmith.livejournal.com 2004-10-22 10:55 am (UTC)(link)
Oh OW! I hope it's a clean break and quick to heal.

[identity profile] pixiecrinkle.livejournal.com 2004-10-22 01:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! Not terribly clean because it's a spiral, but it didn't displace, so it could have been worse.

[identity profile] red-frog.livejournal.com 2004-10-22 11:22 am (UTC)(link)
Ow! Good luck in healing well. That's a nasty place for a break.

[identity profile] pixiecrinkle.livejournal.com 2004-10-22 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

[identity profile] wonderfroggy.livejournal.com 2004-10-22 03:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't hear the phone post but poor you! How long do you have to have the cast on?

[identity profile] pixiecrinkle.livejournal.com 2004-10-23 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
not sure yet. I just have a splint now, though it looks like a cast. It's on until next Friday, when I find out whether or not I need surgery to put a pin in it or not. Ugh.

[identity profile] wonderfroggy.livejournal.com 2004-10-23 01:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh dear, I hope you don't need a pin, that would be a major drag. I will send pin-less vibes to your hand as well as some quick healing vibes.
