(no subject)

Of the past 24 hours, I've spent nearly 7 in my car, driving. I have no cruise control. So now, I am in pain, and wondering why I can feel the bones in my feet. That's so weird!!!

Not much progress was made on the bridesmaids' dress front, except that my sister now agrees with me that David's Bridal is of the devil. The one dress that actually fit on anyone's body properly and that we all loved, was on clearance so it couldn't be ordered and only came in dark dark purple, which we didn't think would work in July. Is there a reason I need a taffeta corset dress with a bustle and a fishtail skirt? Cause I looked good in this dress. And it fit over my apparently mutant ribcage.

Nothing else fit anyone right. I think it's a racket so they can sell you overpriced alterations. There is absolutely no reason for me to have difficulty getting a dress zipped over my ribcage, and then have it be too big in the bust. I am a busty girl, and as far as I know, my ribcage is not exceptionally large. The dresses fit as if my ribcage were the widest part of my body.

Best dress we found at a good price was at Dillard's, but it was more traditional than sis wants. It also had so much netting inside it that it stood up on its own accord when I went to put it on.

I'm skipping knitfest, since I came home tonight. That would have tacked another 6 hours of driving on the weekend, and I'm not up for that. I'm a total driving wuss.

Sleeeeeeeeeep now.

Bridesmaid's dresses in general are of the devil.

My sympathies.
