OK, I posted a while back that I felt old because reality shows shunned me. But now, it seems some of them have tweaked their rules.

According to a story on msnbc, American Idol now says "You have to be born between August 16, 1976, and August 15, 1989."

So I now make the cut by *one* day. And that means that my two friends that are closest in age to me, [livejournal.com profile] spandita and [livejournal.com profile] automat76 are out of luck. How odd.

Do you think the AI producers read my LJ? :-)

(I'd still rather be on The Amazing Race. Or Jeopardy.)

I totally didn't know you sang.

Oh no, I don't. I'm just obsessed with the possibility.

I mean, I *can* sing, passably. But I haven't sung in front of anyone since high school musicals.

Yea, me either. Hence me being a total re-liver and joining a musical troupe.

you're mad. :-) i wonder, then, if AI is enforcing the star-trend that "if you're not it by 30, then you won't be," actually, i'm surprised that the age range goes as high as that -- i figured it would be more in the 18-25 arena...

Last year their cutoff was 27. This year it's barely 28/29. I think they're just realizing that their viewership is aging.
