The first 45 I ever owned

Probably one of those readalong record/book sets. Cinderella I think?

1st LP

The soundtrack to Annie.

1st cassette

Got two at the same time, when I got my tonsils out right before fourth grade. Cyndi Lauper's She's So Unusual and Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA.

1st CD

Again, two at the same time. The B-52s Cosmic Thing, and Sinead O'Connor's I Do Not Want What I Have Not Got. Both of which I still own and listen to.

1st mp3 downloaded

Hmmm....not sure. I think the first thing I downloaded on iTunes after I got the iPod was "Black Jack Davey" by The White Stripes

My family firmly believed that the record was better than the cassette tape. I think I received mostly records up until I was in 7th grade -- which was pretty embarrassing, considering I was in 7th grade and hoping that Mom wouldn't get me that new INXS Kick recording on record. I even owned a few rap records, as in ... Salt n Pepa Push It, Run DMC ... and Beastie Boys.

I remember helping a friend gleefully destroy her Debbie Gibson tape way back when. :) I remember saving my allowance to buy my *first* tape in 4th grade. It was the Bangles. Or was it Wham and Duran Duran? One of those three.

I think my first CD was actually INXS X. I didn't break into CDs until ... 1991, when I was a sophomore in high school.

My parents stuck with records until last year, when my sister got them a DVD player that played CDs and they got a car with a CD player in it. My sister and I switched pretty quickly.

And I had Kick on cassette--I wish I had it on CD now, because I still think it's a great record of the area. Somewhere, I have one of those 8 foot tall door shaped posters from that too. I did love my Aussie boys. ;-)

Hehe, I sat in the 4th row during the Suicide Blonde tour and nearly caught Jon Farriss' drumstick.

I practically worked myself into hysteria at that show.

Michael Hutchence threw roses into the audience, too. It was Valentine's Day. *swoon*

The soundtrack to Annie
Me too!!!! My babysitter's gave it to me, I listened to it over and over and over again.

Broadway show or movie?

Broadway show. My grandparents wouldn't take us to the movie because the word "damn" appeared in it, but I saw a touring show twice.

My grandmother wanted me to try out to be in the chorus also, but mom wouldn't let me. I knew every single word (and for the most part, still do.)

I saw it on Broadway after I had the record for a couple of years. I wanted to be in Annie SO bad! Oh Annie... *sigh*
