No, they sent me to an orthopedist to make sure, but he said just to wear the cast. So, I wore the cast. It was summertime and i was busy with horses, so it was interesting. When he took the cast off, I had oats sprouting in there...it was disgusting. He said it wasn't as healed as he would like, and he would like to put the cast back on for another two weeks. I declined, and have never had a problem with it.
I think you can still hold the yarn between your thumb and the cast. That's how I hold the yarn (yeah, I do it "wrong" and don't wrap it around any fingers).
Then wedge the right needle under your arm or between your knees.
I'm thinking that might work, as would learning to knit continental, but I do a lot of hand twisting when I knit (that's proabaly "wrong" too) and I can't do that at all right now. :-(
Well, at least you have about 1/8 of your Halloween costume complete! And think of the cool Cozies you could knit for it... It someone else helps hold the needles of course!!! I would help, but I am Mr. Clutz!!!! I would end up putting out one of my eyes on one of them fancy stitches you do!

Did yours require surgery or a pin? They don't think mine will, but they won't know until I see the surgeon next week.
