I have had mouse problems twice in the past couple of years. I discovered that I could buy a humane trap at Lowe's for under $10 (I want to say they are $4). It's a plastic trap with a trap door. Bait it with peanut butter and...mouse goes in, can't get out. In the morning you let the mouse loose at a park away from the house.
