I don't know where that came from
Jan. 12th, 2006 02:14 pmI sat down at lunch and started writing. I churned out 2 pages of a passable character sketch. Hmmmm.... Didn't even really intend to do that--I'd started writing a to-do list.
Am I going to attempt a novel again? I've started about three times in the past seven years, on something that might be best described as a Queer-ish Sex and the City in the Heartland. Perhaps this will work this time.
Of course, like anything I've ever written, it's mired in actual events and people, but I think I might give it a go to fictionalize a bit more. (And heaven forbid! Actually invent something regarding plot!)
If only I can get myself to realize it's okay to shoot more for Bridget Jones than something loftier in the literary sense, I might be able to keep up with it.
