1. Your favorite song with the name of a city in the title or text: "Little Amsterdam" -- Tori Amos
2. A song you've listened to repeatedly when you were depressed at some point in your life: "Sweet Mary of Silence" -- Mazzy Star
3. Ever bought an entire album just for one song and wound up disliking everything but that song: Drag Queens & Limosines -- Mary Gauthier (that's the closest I could come up with)
4. A song whose lyrics you thought you knew in the past, but about which you later learned you were incorrect: The most recent thing I can think of is "Here I go Again on my Own" by Whitesnake. Who knew it wasn't "Like a Twister, I was born to walk alone" ?
5. Your least favorite song on one of your favorite albums of all time: "Girl" by Tori Amos on Little Earthquakes
6. A song you like by someone you find physically unattractive or otherwise repellent: I went clear through my iPod and couldn't find anyone repellent
7. Your favorite song that has expletives in it that's not by Liz Phair: "Who the Fuck" by PJ Harvey
8. A song that sounds as if it's by someone British but isn't: Anything by INXS
9. A song you like (possibly from your past) that took you forever to finally locate a copy of: I just finally got "Tombigbee" by Tori Amos on disc when she released the last DVD.
10. A song that reminds you of spring but doesn't mention spring at all: "On a Plain" by Nirvana
11. A song that sounds to you like being happy feels: "52 Girls" by The B52s
12. Your favorite song from a non-soundtrack compilation album: "Unforgettable" as sung by Ani Difranco and Jackie Chan
13. A song from your past that would be considered politically incorrect now (and possibly was then): I can't come up with anything for this except perhaps Sinead O'Connor's "Famine"
14. A song sung by an overweight person: I can seriously not find a song in my ipod that's not by someone resembling a twig. Such is the music industry.
15. A song you actually like by an artist you otherwise hate: I have a cover of Hit Me Baby One More Time (as sung by Travis) that makes the song not half bad.
16. A song by a band (whose members actually play instruments) that features three or more female members: "All Hands on the Bad One" Sleatter-Kinney
17. One of the earliest songs that you can remember listening to: "You're No Good" by Linda Rondstadt
18. A song you've been mocked by friends for liking: "Sk8ter Boi" by Avril Lavigne
19. A really good cover version you think no one else has heard: I have a cover of "Complicated" by the aforementioned Ms. Lavigne that's by some guy from some generic alterna-pop band and it's not half bad.
20. A song that has helped cheer you up (or empowered you somehow) after a breakup or otherwise tough situation: Whole albums of PJ Harvey. Just pick one. Mostly "To Bring You My Love" though
21. A song not in English, preferably a foreign-language version of an English-language hit: I actually have no foreign language covers of English songs, though I have quite a few non-English songs. So I will pick "Groupie" by Pizzacato Five.
