Hey Columbus Crafty Types!!!

pixiecrinkleI've been thinking of trying to start a downtown Stitch n' Bitch group here in Columbus, as the only ones I know of meet in the suburbs.
If you don't know what a Stitch & Bitch is, it's basically just a time to get together at a coffee shop or somewhere and do some crafts while chatting, helping each other out on projects, having a little show and tell with like-minded individuals, etc. So if you knit, crochet, bead, embroider,
cross-stitch, whatever, or even if you don't and just want to learn, please join up.
I've set up a Yahoo! Group for this, so we'll also have a central email address and people can choose if they want to be bombarded or not. I'm also in the process of adding some resources & links in there too, so feel free to add your own.

In addition, please go to the "Polls" section of the site (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/downtowncolumbusSNB/polls) once you've joined and answer the questions about meeting preferences. My goal is to have the first meeting in the second half of September, so I'll use the answers from the poll questions to schedule the first one, then we can find out the
group's preference for meeting time/location after that.
I'm hoping that this becomes a regular, but fairly casual group, so the more people we get, the better. So please pass this info on to anyone else who might be interested. Thanks!
