(no subject)

Okay, so the neighbors were apparently hammering stakes into the ground for a cement mold yesterday because this morning’s early wake up call came from a cement truck parked across the alley into the parking area for the building across the street. So I got ready for work and came downstairs to see that the two guys had put a tarp on the back of my car since it was right by the spout (?) of the truck. I thanked them, and they took it off and I drove away.

And then I got to work and realized in the garage here that they must have put the tarp on after they realized that they were getting crap all over it. There are big handprints of cement dust all over it, and a few places where I actually had to wipe wet cement off. Grrrr…..

So I got much more sleep last night (almost 6 hours!) than I have been getting. But still I wanted to spuzz up my mood, so I put some makeup on this morning. I’ve been wearing it lately due to weddings and stuff so I’m starting to feel naked without it at work. I must throw out two endorsements:

1. Stila’s lip shine in Blush Shine. It’s lip colored, shiny, not sticky like most glosses, and while it has some tendency to slide around your face, it does stay on your lips for hours.
2. Urban Decay’s Liquid Eyeliner in Waterloo, which is a creamy shiny color with a blue undertone. Brightens up eyes quicker than anything! I need to swing out to Nordstrom and pick up a new tube.’

That’s it for my beauty report of the day. Back to coding. I’m sure I’ll update later after we have our re-org meeting. I’m a bit nervous about that.

I was cleaning out my work email today and found this. I won tickets to see Tori Amos play live at a radio station and meet her earlier this year when she played at the Palace. The contest was to write a fairytale involving Elvis, a big screen TV and the Isle of Women. You had an hour. I turned mine in in 25 minutes flat.
