A Halloween-y Friday Five, stolen from krasota

1. What are you wearing right this minute?
Jeans, super-trendy slash cut t-neck striped sweater (which three people have asked "What are the snaps for?" about today), black clogs, ponytail flipped around into bun, stupid work IDs around my neck.

2. What are you doing tonight?
Going to Halloween party at B&J's and avoiding getting drunk so I can take my midterm in the morning.

3. What is your costume?
I'm going to be a saloon girl. Found the perfect dress at Rag-a-Rama last weekend, and plan to wear a corset over it, with fishnets, the boots I wore in Oklahoma in high school, feather boa, and choker. I plan to curl my hair in some way that is yet to be determined.


4. When did you stop Trick or treating?
Probably about junior high or so.

5. Do you or have you ever believed in the Great Pumpkin?
No. If I believed in sentient vegetables, I'd find it awfully hard to be a vegetarian.

We had nearly 6 pounds of candy in my dept today. My 3 pound bag of miniature tootsie roll pops, plus someone else's leftover mixed bag from trick or treat last night. That bag included individually wrapped Swedish fish. I took the remainder of them because no one else had ever heard of Swedish fish. The horror!!! Actually, they say "Swedish fish" but they were manufactured in Canada, so I think they should be Canadian Fish.

Our two infrastructure guys decorated their cubicles as IBM Websphere Studio 54 today. They dressed up as the proprietors (complete with chest hair and gold chains), turned on some dance music, rented a disco ball, lights and a velvet rope, and invited our whole project team over to stand in line with the bouncer for pictures. I was let in first, being the only girl and all. When I got inside (there was a tentlike roof), I was handed a fake Duff beer can from The Simpsons. Do you think they served beer in cans at Studio 54?
