I am a walking phlegm machine. This is not a fun thing to be.

Saturday marked a full week of having this plague, and while I felt better, I still was not normal. Yesterday, I ended up taking a two hour nap after doing my laundry.

I just want to be able to stay up for a whole day, and not feel like I'm 80. And getting rid of the coughing would be cool too, as I'm sure all my co-workers would agree. And my new neighbors. The apartment next to me has been empty for about 5 months, and someone moved in this weekend, only to have to contend with me waking up and coughing all night. Fun.

Most of these are parked in my neighborhood regularly:

SAUSAGE (My all-time favorite)
SPLEEN (Just saw this one last night)
TS TT (this on an Audi TT)
I AM JIM (this one cracks me up because it is so matter-of-fact)
SAPPHO (yes, it was on a Subaru)
MA AM (on a car that has some feminist/pro breast-feeding stickers)

I also think that the new 2 letters, 2 numbers, 2 letters license numbering scheme in Ohio makes for inadvertent vanity plates. It's just way too easy for me to spell things out of them. Anyone else notice this?

I've been saying for a while (half-jokingly) "I want to run a marathon this year." Now, I don't know that I can even run a mile, though I think it's more of a question of pacing (I have no idea how to run or walk slower than normal.)

But, they just announced that Columbus is starting a half marathon in the spring, in addition to the full marathon in October. This actually may be do-able. I've printed out the training schedule from the site, so I may give it a shot.

Of course, right now, being able to breathe is an issue, but I'm getting better, I swear!!!

Put your playlist on random, then list the first 10 songs.

Here's my (surprisingly coherant) list:

1. "Rest of Yesterday" Alana Davis - Blame it On Me
2. "This is Not the House that Pain Built" Dar Williams - The Honesty Room
3. "Caramel" Suzanne Vega - Nine Objects of Desire
4. "Muhammad My Friend" Tori Amos - Boys for Pele
5. "Criminal" Fiona Apple - Tidal
6. "Get Out of the City" Ivy - Apartment Life
7. "Possibly Maybe" Bjork - Post
8. "for C.I. (Iowa is Passing By)" Parker & Lily - Here Comes Winter
9. "My Boyfriend is a Genius" Julia Douglass - Fetish for the Underdog
10. "This is Love" PJ Harvey - Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea

Given the sheer volume of Tori Amos and Ani Difranco tracks on this computer, I'm surprised it wasn't a bit more skewed.
