Jan. 19th, 2004 07:35 pmI think I'm nuts.
After spending the whole weekend doing nothing basically (under the guise of recuperation) I tackled rearranging my bedroom (and by default, part of the office) at 5 pm.
I now have some semblance of order in the bedroom, plus space for yoga practice, and a vanity table (which is simply and ill-used writing desk from the office).
The office is another story. I need some storage in there badly, but can't yet decide what I want. I have also had a hard time finding a focus for the room. The computer is in there, and the sewing machine (however unused it is) and the keyboard, and some of my knitting stuff, and any random arts/crafts supplies I own.
I think I want this twin bed fron IKEA with the underbed drawer that gives storage. That way, I'd have the storage I need, plus a guest bed, plus, when the bed isn't in use, an area to cut out patterns and do projects on. I'm all about multi-purpose furniture. This one's a bit short though. There's a taller one in the catalog though, with sliding doors beneath--that would be perfect.
Sigh. This is my next quest I guess. And the closest IKEA is in Pittsburgh. Hmmmmm.......road trip anyone??? Anyone with a big car???? :-)
