So maybe, the dream I had was prophetic. I've been getting emails that PJ Harvey is touring this year, though so far, all the dates are in Europe. ([livejournal.com profile] spanditaI don't know if you're into her, but she's playing May 29 in Barcelona.) I'm crossing my fingers for maybe an album at least.

I got several calls from a 740 number, which is outside Columbus, last weekend, but the person never left a message. Well, he called back this morning. At 2:30 am!!! I was sleeping so well, and never quite got back to sleep after that. He left a message this time though. For Vic. Then he called back again at 7 and asked for Shawn. Um, hi dude. My full name is on my voicemail. And my name is neither "Vic" nor "Shawn." Blah.

I did find my house key. I lost it in early January, when I took only it and none of my other keys over to a party across the street at B&J's. Next morning, I couldn't find it, though I distinctly remembered bringing it inside, so I didn't freak out about it. I had new keys cut, etc. Then, while cleaning this weekend, I pulled a bag of supplies out from under my bathroom sink, and there it was. It must have fallen in an empty bag in the kitchen, then when I mixed up my concoction to clean the bathtub with and bagged it up, I used that bag. I'm glad I found it. My bottle opener is on that key chain too. :-)

Called my mom last night to ask her a 5 minute question, and it turned into an hour and 12 minute conversation. She is terribly excited to come up here Sunday for quilts (at the Craft Museum) and Chihuly at the Conservatory. That did mean I turned 'ER' on mute. I think I got more out of it that way.

I need to call to get my car in for a check up this weekend before driving to P'burgh on Tuesday. I'm also thinking about buying an mp3 player since a. I've been wanting one. b. I didn't get to go on vacation, so I have funds and c. I have no CD or tape player in the car. Recommendations?

CD $$$$

Almost forgot--I got my recording industry anti-trust settlement yesterday, so I am now $13.86 richer. What on earth will I spend it on?

Probably not music yet -- I have a pile of free songs from iTunes from the diet pepsi bottles out of the machine here at work. Yay!

OK -- there's no need for emergency car maintenance or running out to get the mp3 player (though I still might) because STS just called and said he's going with me to IKEA & picking up [livejournal.com profile] automat76. So we'll be journeying in the Land Rover. We'll be able to buy more IKEA goodies!!!

Saw Bertolucci's The Dreamers with [livejournal.com profile] ryan_rita tonight. Oh dear Tommy Gnosis, you've sure grown up. Wow. This is a really great film, especially if you love French cinema. Early on there's a short clip from Godard's Breathless which we saw in cinema class in college and made me dye my short hair blonde. So there was a very nostalgic feeling about the whole film for me. And yeah, then there's the hot sex. So really it's for everyone.

I swear I was carrying on a much more intelligent conversation about this earlier. But I have discovered this lovely wine called The Stump Jump which is a blend of Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvedre. I like it. A lot.

This weekend should be fun. Tomorrow, STS and I are trying for a midafternoon happy hour, then the twins' combined 50th bday party is tomorrow night. I need to get some pre-baking done for book club and the clothes party beforehand, and hopefully some kitchen scrubbing as well. Then Sunday is mom and dad. If I get called in to work, all hell breaks loose.

Cheers.
