Hockey. Wow. Rasputina. Yay.
Apr. 23rd, 2004 11:32 amI'm kind of sore now, but not nearly as much so as after Art for Life last weekend. I do have a lovely red welt just above my right knee from getting hit with the ball right above my shin guard. All in all, it was fun, but I could have dealt without the pouring rain which did not let up for the entire three hours that games were going on. I was wet through 3 layers of clothes.
It's probably a good thing I couldn't hold a stick with my wrist guards on. I discovered Wednesday night that they had had laundry detergent spilled on them. They probably would have foamed while I was playing had I worn them.
I still wish it were on skates. We might as well have been, as slippery as it was.
Tonight is Rasputina in Cleveland. This makes me happy. However, I am slightly irked, because my little sister lives just outside Cleveland, and several weeks ago she told me she had tonight off, so I invited her to meet us at and/or after the show. As of Easter, she thought she might have to work. I told her to let me know. I still haven't heard from her though. If I send her an email, it takes her a week to respond (at minimum) and if I call, I never get her, and she's never returns my message. I don't know what's up with her. I only see her at family events, and she's made comments to about how we should get together, but she doesn't seem to really want to try to plan anything. Last time I was in Cleveland (for a Jeopardy audition) she went to Cedar Point on a whim that day, even though she knew I was coming.
Oh well. Mom always said she hatched out of an egg left by aliens anyway. Maybe that's why she's being flakey.
