All is right with the world....

I have Honey, Fig & Tawny Port Sorbet from Jeni's Ice Creams. The charming young man at the cash register apologized for the price ($8/pint) but mentioned it's 80% pureed figs. Oh. my. god.

So good. I'd pay twice that.

I wanted the Lavendar & Fresh Berries too, but I restrained myself. Next time, next time.

Tower records had a deal where if you pre-ordered the new PJ Harvey CD, they threw in the import of the first single for free. It was on sale anyway, so I went ahead and grabbed it.

They shipped it to me today. Which means it'll be here on Tuesday when it comes out! I don't have to wait any longer, even though I was prepared to!

All garage sale stuff, except for one or two oddball things, is now on site. I did it in five trips, which was awesome, given that I had an armchair and a bookcase.

I also started a little photo project earlier. I think it would be cool to take photos of my own neighborhood as if I were a tourist visiting. So I got good shots of the murals in the neighborhood, some cool architecture shots, and a decent shot of the all male all nude strip club (which was closed--I'll have to go back when there are boys in the window.)

If I finish up this project, then maybe I'll get started on "Fashion Victim." For a while, I've wanted to set up the digicam so I can snap a photo of myself each morning. So I can see how my hair/clothes/whatever change over the course of a year or however long. I had a film prof in college who did a similar thing by shooting one frame of film each day at the same time in his backyard, so when projected it showed you the changing of the seasons. I need to build something around it though to make it easy to navigate though.
