Long day

Weird dreams last night: one was about my uncle wanting to borrow money from me, the other was about me performing brain surgery on [livejournal.com profile] automat76 and she was like the Visible Woman at the old COSI. It was the surgery Roy (of Siegfried and) had after the tiger attack. My old friend D's cat was there and I went in to put her in another room, so she wouldn't attack automat76's brain, but automat76 was the one who helped me, so there were two of here.

Then, in real life, the actual, brain-surgery-less automat76 & I went to check out Northstar for brunch, along with the rest of the Short North and people from other neighborhoods as well. My food was quite slow, but all was yummy and I got a coupon for a free meal out of it. I like that place quite much.

Then it was off to go to mom and dad's. We picked up my friend J., then went on to the Wool Gathering at Young's. I horded yarn. We saw a dog herd some ducks. I think I could deal with raising alpacas. And I really almost bought a drop spindle, because they had so much beautiful roving. The antique sock machine demo was my favorite. I got a lot of yarn. A lot.

Am thinking of setting up as a vendor next year if I can get enough small items/patterns together. It could be the inaugural event for this business I keep daydreaming about. We shall see.

I stayed a while at mom and dad's, and now am home, and though exhausted, have wound all my yarn into balls. I'm going to try to make a sock on my new needles, then it's off to bed for me.
