pixiecrinkle: (knitting)
More knitting projects from/for the holidays. I don't think I've posted any of these yet.
Grandma's sweater )

Progress on my sweater ) I'm much further now though. Maybe I'll finish it tonight!

Hat & Scarf ) and Hat & Mittens ) Both of those are in Plymouth Encore Colors and I love the random colors that came out in them.

Felted flower brooches ) As a result, I think I also figured out how I could make a Christmas tree )

The Irish Hiking Scarf (google for pattern) for my sister's fiance. I didn't get a finished photo, so you can't tell it turned out to be nearly five feet long from the photo I did get )

And, last but not least, the photo I keep claiming I'll post, my rejected knitty submission, a basketweave yoga mat bag out of bamboo yarn. The photo ) stars [livejournal.com profile] automat76. And unfortunately (well, really, fortunately), I can't post the pattern as I'd intended because it's currently under consideration somewhere else.

If you're really all that interested, in progress and additional photos live here.

Just started to make a post to [livejournal.com profile] knitting to try to determine why my math was so off on my Rosedale II. Got halfway through explaining my issue when I realized the problem was that I kept assuming I was decreasing 4 stitches per row, when in fact I'm decreasing 8 stitches a row. Duh. So I will have 160 fewer stitches, rather than the 80 fewer I was convinced of.

I've been mauling this over and considering ripping the whole thing back for five days now. Sheesh.

(Winter Yuck)Work is canceled, but my power is out too. Hmmph.
Am glad I at least charged my phone last night!

EDIT: So my email post made it. However, I posted this at 7 am on the 23rd. Weird.

The first 45 I ever owned

Probably one of those readalong record/book sets. Cinderella I think?

1st LP

The soundtrack to Annie.

1st cassette

Got two at the same time, when I got my tonsils out right before fourth grade. Cyndi Lauper's She's So Unusual and Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA.

1st CD

Again, two at the same time. The B-52s Cosmic Thing, and Sinead O'Connor's I Do Not Want What I Have Not Got. Both of which I still own and listen to.

1st mp3 downloaded

Hmmm....not sure. I think the first thing I downloaded on iTunes after I got the iPod was "Black Jack Davey" by The White Stripes
