I suppose if you had had it done at a salon you could just look blank and reply in a puzzled tone "no I didn't". See what they say to that!
I'm imagining this as a scene in a play -- people who know each other are hanging around waiting for, say, everyone on the guest list to arrive. Each one who comes in tells pixiecrinkle that she dyed her hair. For each new arrival pixiecrinkle has a different wiseass remark, culminating perhaps in the "you're going bald" one. :-)
