So, I had to go to Byzantium, the local bead shop, last week to pick up some pin backs and stuff for knitting projects, and I ended up buying some more beads. I learned about the wonder of crimp beads recently, so I picked some up to fix the bracelets I made for my mom and sis last year. So tonight I fixed both bracelets and made two necklaces and two pairs of earrings for myself. I have another bracelet to fix for [livejournal.com profile] automat76 and a necklace to fix for me, but they are MIA presently. They're somewhere, I just can't locate them.

So here are the beading projects:

This is the bracelet I made on the night I was originally supposed to teach knitting, when someone else filled in and did a bead project with us. This is also when I learned about crimp beads, and discovered the wonder of the magnetic clasp. I made this with my hand in the splint, hence why there are some kinks in it.

I made this to go with the Kureyon sweater I'm making for myself. I nearly finished the second sleeve this afternoon, so I may get this done to wear to grandma & grandma's for Christmas!

I love green and purple together. Always have. So I got inspired when I found pastel faux pearls at Byzantium, and sparkly austrian crystal beads. This is kind of a monstrosity as far as how I attached the findings, but it will work. It's hard to tell what it really looks like in this photo, but one strand is based on green, one's based on purples and the third has both. I used copper and silver in it too. Don't know what I'll wear it with yet. I have to go back and get another earwire with a back clip, because I was overzealous with the needle-nosed pliers and broke one of the earrings while I was making it up. And I only had two like that. I think this is my favorite!
