pixiecrinkleI'm getting bad about updating on the weekends, when I actually have time.
Accomplishments this long weekend:
-ate yummy Indian food, and correctly pronounced it when ordering
-got 1/20 of my sister's wedding afghan finished
-got another 4" knitted on my cardigan. Am still not happy with odd tightly spun section in the middle of the ball of yarn, which I just realized last night is actually on the front of the cardigan.
- started designing a pink scarf for the VK/Crafter's Choice breast cancer scarf contest. Realized it's not going to work in the stitch I'm using, but haven't yet ripped it out
-braved Byzantium (bead shop) and the Yarn Shop on their busiest days of the week and survived
-finally visited Penzey's Spices
-went to ICFD: Wine
-rearranged the living room. Again vacuumed 2 canisters of dust out of a room in my apartment.
-did taxes and wrote my $6 check to the federal gov't
-ripped out (again) my lace for the![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
shawl_a_long.
-purchased new, easier pattern for theshawl_a_long
-called my mom for the first time in 2 weeks.
I still haven't gotten a rejection from knitty. As I've been rejected within 48 hours or so every time I've submitted before, I'm taking this as a good sign!
