Apparently LoL has refused to give out hard data about what they are doing with the donated hair, and there are reports that they sell far more than they actually use for kids' wigs, which is what they purport to be doing. It still might not be enough to make you shy away from it totally, but I'm all for informed decisions. :-)

I'm not sure if there are other places to donate or not. I think LoL kind of has the market cornered.
