Chop chop!

Yesterday, because I was sick of all my long hair, dry because I gave myself highlights and for some reason have shunned conditioner this summer, and because I no longer needed to be concerned with having up-do length hair for sis's wedding, I got a whim. So I called the Aveda Institute and they had one appointment left today.

Last night I sat around knitting while watching Sex & the City and reading bad women's magazines, and located a photo. Thing is, I have baby fine hair, and more of it than seems humanly possible, so all these gorgous flippy bobs will not emerge on my head, no matter how long someone tries.

So I walked in today with a photo, and a whole list of things I wanted to change about it. And the girl who did my hair did a fabulous job--she absolutely understood what I wanted. And now I have short hair again. Woo-hoo!





And I'm about to go to a tiki themed party, so I found a never worn halter dress I got at a thrift store (for $4! And it's reversible!) in the back of my closet and did up my face. It'll probably last about an hour, but I like playing girlie-girl every once in a while.





This is the shortest my hair has been in quite some time. I'm happy!

That looks really good! I wish I had the guts to cut my hair. The last time I had a real cut (as opposed to a trim) I left crying and was upset with it for months. That was about 12 years ago.

I LOVE that cut. I tried to hav emy hair that way, but mine is the opposite...super thick. It ends up being sort of round. Hense my growing it out. But that looks so good on you!

Damn it Carl!!! At the beginning of the summer I debated, haircut or let it grow for Locks of Love. After much deliberation, I finally decided I'd let it grow. So of course that's means this summer is stupid hot, and everyone I know is getting super cute haircuts and I'm all envious with a hot neck or hurty hair because it's up all the time. Damn!!!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE your new hair, I'm just super stupid jealous because I want a cute haircut too!
