Best movie I've seen in a long time: Aimee and Jaguar. If you haven't seen it, it's set during WWII, and it's the story of a German woman, who, though married to a Nazi soldier, falls in love with a Jewish woman. Well, it's about way more than that, but that's a pretty succinct version.

It's really really well done, and like most holocaust-era movies, you know it's going to be tragic going in. I didn't realize going into it that it's a true story though. It was absolutely devastating to see the photos of the actual women in the special features on the DVD. The filmmakers even had them in the same outfits in some of the scenes.

Oddly, my German isn't as bad as I'd thought. It's not like I could have gotten it without the subtitles, but once in a while I'd look down for a bit and still be able to follow what was going on.

In my defense, I was very tired when I typed that. ;-)
