That was exactly my line of thinking. And those two options are neck and neck right now, so that might be the deciding factor.
I agree on the maturity factor. This guy doesn't strike me as shy in the least, so I don't think that's what's going on here. Plus, while I get that my friend was saying "That'll make it more casual and less date like" my thoughts immediately went to my own weird quirks of "Oh no! I'll have to make sure everyone is getting along then!" Not to mention that if someone asked me to something like that I *would* be the person who would feel intimidated by a larger group of people I didn't know.
