Sep. 17th, 2003 10:50 amSluggish....that's how I feel. I've gotten around 8 hours of sleep the past two nights but have still had a horrible time getting out of bed. Ick. I think I may be coming down with something because I've had sore throats the past couple mornings. So I'm overdosing on tea for that, because I still have a few more voiceovers to record.
Today they are having a world diversity type day here at work. I find it incredibly ironic that the prize you can win for "expanding your horizons" by visiting all the booths is a pair of tickets to see Jeff Foxworthy, he of the redneck jokes.
Book club last night discussed The Red Tent. I liked the book a lot more than I expected too, but it wasn't a very lively discussion. Part of it was that I think we were all a little embarassed of how little we knew of the biblical story. I was surprised, given that half the book club members grew up in Catholic schools, to find that I really almost knew more of the Old Testament than them. And I know nothing! I also had stuff to say, but didn't have the energy to really get into it. Plus, I'm still not sure how my feminist ranting will be taken by the group yet. We picked Stephen King's Bag of Bones for next time, which is quite a departure for us, but we decided that we wanted something scary since it will be around Halloween.
I don't know why I waited until last night to do my stats homework. I wasn't very productive, so it took me about 2 hours to get the rest of the problems done. The prof really didn't explain stuff all that well last time, so I was glad I'd had most of this before. I have no idea what the lecture is on tonight. I wanted to have read it first (though our book is not very good). Maybe I'll have time when I grab dinner between work and class.
OK, back to churning out these training videos. We figured out several Flash Player issues this morning, so now I get to re-produce some of these from Camtasia again. Joy.
I *must* remember to get the student loan deferral forms filled out at school this week. They are already quite late. And if I don't have something to show by Monday for the employee cookbook project, I think they are going to fire me from my volunteer design position. Must get myself on track!!!
