I ordered 2 items (iPod accessories) online from Apple last week. They were shipped the same day via FedEx, but in separate boxes because they were coming from different locations.

The first item should have been delivered Monday. It wasn't until Tuesday evening that I realized this. I got on FedEx's site and tracked the package, where it said that the address was incorrect. I double checked it on both FedEx's site and Apple's site and it was correct in both places. So I sent an email off to FedEx explaining that sometimes drivers have a hard time finding my street in snowy weather and to please redeliver, but that the address was correct.

I have still not gotten a response to the email. I then checked the site, and they are routing the box back to Apple! So I called up FedEx. They can't stop the package once it's on the truck apparently, so had me call Apple despite the fact that it's not Apple's fault they failed to deliver the package.

So I call Apple, and of course, that guy can't do anything, except re-route the package back to me once it gets back to them in California. So I asked him to please cancel and refund. I'll just go pick it up from The Apple Store at Easton, which is what I was trying to avoid by ordering online in the first place. But I have to go out there this weekend for yarn for my cousin's wedding gift anyway.

I gave the woman at FedEx my cell phone number, because the second package is due to be delivered today. Hopefully, if the driver can't find my address, they'll at least call and I can direct them there. If this one gets sent back too, I'm going to start feeling about FedEx the same way I feel about UPS. Grrrrrr......

The thing I'm really upset about is that they haven't gotten to replying to my original email yet, which got there early enough to stop the package from being returned. I was following protocol and doing it that way rather than calling, and they were the ones who failed to hold up their end of the bargain.

They are going to get a letter from me. I need to write one to Amazon too about their poor wish list address updating feature that has led to part of my Christmas gift from mom and dad being lost somewhere in my neighborhood since January now. Damnit, I want my steamer insert!!!

Yeah....I came across my pile of "evidence" regarding that this weekend. Am still considering if it would be worth it to obtain some legal advice on that one.
