What's the last thing you ate? Am eating lunch right now: tomato soup, tuna

salad and caesar salad.
What's your favourite cheese? I don't like a lot of cheeses, but light

swiss-types are good.
What's your favourite fish? All of them, since I started eating it again. But

probably salmon.
What's your favourite fruit? Banana!
When, if ever, did you start liking olives? I've never *not* liked olives.
When, if ever, did you start liking beer? Once I determined that price does

matter.
When, if ever, did you start liking shellfish? I loved shellfish of all types,

even raw oysters, as a child. However, I seem to have developed some sort of

allergy because now if I eat them I get very very sick.
What was the best thing your mum/dad/guardian used to make? My favorite dish

of my mother's was off the side of can of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, Lasagna

Roll-Ups. It's got cream cheese, broccoli, and marinara.
What's the native specialty of your home town? Columbus is often noted in

surveys for it's gross overabundance of fast food. We are a test market for

everything. Donato's Pizza, Wendy's and I believe White Castle all started

here.
What's your comfort food? Soup. Chocolate.
What's your favourite type of chocolate? The darker the better. I keep Dove

promises in my desk at work, but I love Cloud Nine's Chocolate Raspberry and

Lindt too.
How do you like your steak? I'm veggie + fish, so no steak. But when I ate

meat over a decade ago, I would have answered the bloodier the better.

How do you like your burger? see above
How do you like your eggs? OVer easy, with toast
How do you like your potatoes? French Fries, with tons of salt, vinegar and

ketchup.
How do you take your coffee? Black, but I seldom drink it anymore. I'm also

partial to soy milk lattes.
How do you take your tea? Any way. Usually plain, but I'll occasionally add

sugar and cream to darjeeling or dark black teas.
What's your favourite mug? I have a cool desk mug at work, but usually I drink

out of whatever.
What's your biscuit or cookie of choice? Oatmeal raisin.
What's your ideal breakfast? French toast, fruit and yogurt
What's your ideal sandwich? Grilled Cheese, gourmet style with pickle, onion

and tomato.
What's your ideal pizza (topping and base)? Thin crust with onion, tomato,

black olive, mushroom & pineapple.
What's your ideal pie (sweet or savory)? I love the "Fruits of the Forest" pie

my grandma picks up from Sara Lee for holidays.
What's your ideal salad? The nicoise salad at Betty's: Good lettuce, redskin

potatoes, olives, green beans, optional salmon, and gobs of pesto.
What food do you always like to have in the fridge? yogurt
What food do you always like to have in the freezer? fake meat products, like

chik patties
What food do you always like to have in the cupboard? canned tomatoes
What spices can you not live without? oregano, basil, garlic, curry, chili

powder, etc etc
What sauces can you not live without? I have more condiments than anyone in

the door of my fridge. I really like to have Asian and Indian spices on hand,

and have become partial to mixing coriander chutney into just about anything

lately.
Where do you buy most of your food? Kroger, though the opening of the Giant

Eagle down the street has sucked me in. Wild Oats too, and the North Market, not often enough..
How often do you go food shopping? Sometimes every day, sometimes once a

month.
What's the most you've spent on a single food item? I'm not sure. I don't buy

a huge amount of packaged stuff, so probably 20 bucks or so on a Tofurky once.
What's the most expensive piece of kitchen equipment you own (excluding 'white

goods')? I have a really nice juicer, but I got it when Marshall Field's left

Columbus, and only paid $15 for it. [livejournal.com profile] automat76got me a Global

knife one year too.
What's the last piece of equipment you bought for your kitchen? Some tangerine

fiestaware: 2 place settings and some extra side plates.
What piece of kitchen equipment could you not live without? The butcher block

cart that I designed and my dad built.
How many times a week/month do you cook from raw ingredients? Not as much as

I'd like, but at least once a week.
What's the last thing you cooked from raw ingredients? Irish Stew with Frozen

tofu for ICFD Sunday.
What meats have you eaten besides cow, pig and poultry? My mom fed us venison

chili once without telling us, but we could tell.
What's the last time you ate something that had fallen on the floor? All the

time.
What's the last time you ate something you'd picked in the wild? My mom,

despite a serious poison ivy allergy, is the self-proclaimed "World's Greatest

Mushroom Hunter." She brought me some morels a couple of years ago.

Place in order of preference: vodka, whisky, tequila, dark rum, light rum,

Bread and spread: Cherry Preserves and Peanut Butter on wheat
What's your fast food restaurant of choice, and what do you usually order? Chipotle. I get the Vegetarian Bol with Mild & Medium Salsa, no cheese, and guacamole.

Pick a city. What are the three best dining experiences you've had in that

city? Portland, OR: The middle eastern cafe near our hotel, the local fast food taco chain, and the delicious cheese and fruit plate on the wine tasting trip.
What's your choice of tipple at the end of a long day? Lately, manhattans on the rocks. I love Belvedere Martinis, dirty also. My standard cheap drink is vodka & tonic.
What's the next thing you'll eat? The yogurt on my desk for a midafternoon snack. And salmon for dinner.
