When I was driving home from work this evening, there was a plane with a banner trailing it flying overhead. This in itself is not unusual, as the "3C Body Shop" banner is often flying over various Columbus festivals in the summer. But not on a Tuesday evening.

Nope, this was something entirely different. It was far too high for me to read clearly, but I think it read "10 (or 18?) Week ABORTION" then listed a phone number. There was a box on the side that may have been a fetus picture, but I'm not entirely sure--it could just have easily been a logo of some sort.

It bothered me mostly because I couldn't figure out if it was a clinic advertisement (which would be very very odd) or an anti-abortion message. Either way, the phone number was never going to be visible from the altitude at which the plane was flying, nor could the photo be made out.

Very weird. Any other Columbusites see this?

hm... not a columbusite so obviously didnt see it, but i wonder if it was an anti abortion thing contracted to the banner flying company, who made that pilot fly it, but the pilot didnt want to, so instead flew too high to do any good.

granted, i'm probably reading WAAAAY too much into that.

but it's an interesting thought.

Yes, we saw it flying over downtown at about 2PM today. I think it was a 716 area code, which is in Western New York State. Still not sure if it was an ad for an abortion provider or an anti-abortion banner.

Messed up.
