Well, almost.

This is Honeymoon, from knitty.

As we note from the difference in my sweater and the one in the designer's photo, her sweater is long and slim fitting, while mine is short and floppy. Hopefully blocking will help it, but I've never blocked anything before, so I'm not sure.

If worse comes to worse, I'll rip out the straps and it will become a bit shorter. Not sure what I'll do about the loose waist. It's kind of got that 80s peplum look.

Or, as the pattern put it, "You'll be showing some skin!" :-)

It's cute! I have no doubt that blocking will help. Not that I've ever done it either but I've heard it can work wonders.

Yeah...I started blocking it last night, but I have no clue how it's going to make the thing smaller. I'm really tempted to run it through the washing machine in hot water. It's 100% cotton, so that might be more than enough shrinkage.

I guess you could wash it in warmer water which will shrink certain parts and then shape the rest. Do you have another tank top that you could use as a model?

Not a bad idea. I think I do have something else that's close.

I don't think it looks too baggy:) It's very nice, and the coloring is beautiful.

If you're looking for LJ knitting buddies, you might want to check out [livejournal.com profile] xaviermusketeer - she has a lot of her projects in her journal, and she's very nice.

Thanks! I will say I'm very deliberately posed there, and the armholes are a bit scandalous!

I'll check out her journal too--thanks!
