I don't think so -- I think I'm happy in this age. My teachers in high school used to insist I should have been a teenager in the 60s, but I think that was mostly because I was the only "political" kid in school. I cannot fathom my life without computers, despite the fact we never had one growing up, so I think living before now would mean my life would be so different from now, that I couldn't even consider it. As for the future, I'm not real optimistic for the health of the planet, or the political structures on it, so I'll stay right here, thanks. :-)
Question 10 -- Forced to watch an old movie with friends repeatedly, what would it be? And Why?
The "with friends" part complicates this. As does the "repeatedly." I can sit through a lot of movies that I wouldn't inflict on other people. And I'm not a repeated viewer usually, unless some time has elapsed in between. My favorite director is Peter Greenaway, and I freely admit he's an acquired taste, so he's out for "with friends."
Surprisingly, despite my cinema major in college, I don't know as much as I'd like about classic cinema. I do like Cary Grant though, so for older movies, I'd probably pick North by Northwest, even though I'm not ga-ga for Hitchcock.
For newer movies, I'd probably pick Delicatessen, or Amelie.
