Noises I don't like

pixiecrinkleSo I got some decent sleep last night, courtesy a way hot bath and 1/2 a melatonin. I'm still grinding my jaw like it's my job, 24 hours a day. I think I need to cut back on the caffeine.
I was just about asleep though, when the dregs of Frances hit. And then a dripping noise. I investigated. The part of my closet that goes back over the stairway appparently has water dripping in on top of it. I shut the closet door and went back to bed. This morning, I checked it and it's damp. There's two damp spots in the living room (including the one with the suspicious black spot) and possibly one more in the bedroom, that's too high for me to touch. I'm calling the landlord in a few. I think the place needs a new roof perhaps -- this is the third time we've had water issues in the three years I've lived there, and it's the first time they've gone beyond the outside walls. I also think the carpet needs to come out of the upstairs bedroom -- I hate carpet anyway, but there's a musty, damp smell in there, and I don't think that bodes well.
I need to pump up the look for a house in my price range. I need to go get pre-approved so I can have confirmation of what my price range even is.
I want to find the silly woman who was chatting on her cell phone while driving her Mercedes the wrong way down Park Street this morning and shake her a bit. I honked and tried to let her know she was going the wrong way and the had the nerve to dismissively wave at me. Hello? You're right next to a school!!!
