Woohoo! I have my first knitting gig!

A few months back, I got the idea that it might be fun to do a knitting party business, where I would go and teach a small group of people to knit in someone's home. I put it on the back burner though.

Well, my friend S. is wanting to learn, and she's not had a chance to make it to a SNB meeting yet, so she asked me if I'd be willing to come over and teach a few of her friends in a couple of weeks. She just emailed me to start working on a time, so it's a go.

I am now faced with needing to go buy yarn to get them their kits to get started. I'm thinking Lion Brand Jiffy and big needles, so they can finish up some scarves pretty quickly and get some quick sense of accomplishment.

This could be the start of Witty Knits!

I would *love* to be able to sit down with someone to learn how to knit & crochet. I tried to learn how to knit last winter, but I was definitely doing something wrong. :(

Oh that will be cool. :) the best way to knit is to have a living breathing person showing you how to do it. i think your idea could be really successfull if you took it to a place where there are no LYS.

Kniting can be heaps of fun. I haven't knitted for years, but with Summer coming on there's little incentive.
