I am a knitting fiend!!!
Feb. 20th, 2004 12:40 amGot about 8" done on the sweater tonight, including the start of the armhole shaping. It's sleeveless, so shouldn't be a big deal, but this is only the second sweater I've done (the first was for a newborn from a relatively forgiving pattern) so I'm a bit nervous. I started knitting during The Apprentice and didn't stop until most of the way through David Letterman. Which means tomorrow will likely be a Vioxx day. But I was in the knitting zone! I couldn't stop!
On another note, ER has gotten more ridiculously bad than I thought it could. It's bad when an actor walks into the room and delivers a line in a completely ridiculous manner, simply because he has no idea of how to deliver it in a way that makes sense. Still, I am compelled to watch. It's like a train wreck.
Talked to mom briefly. She is still hung up on telling me every detail of the small town court battle my uncle (to whom we haven't spoken since I was in junior high school) has gotten himself into. I don't know how to tell her that I'm interested, but to skip the play-by-play and opinions of people that I don't remember ever having met. But she and dad may come up next weekend to see the Chihuly exhibit at the conservatory. I'm going to try to get them to tag along to the Buddhist art thing at the art museum too, though I don't know if dad will be interested in that at all. At the very least, perhaps I'll get good free dinner out of it.
I'm going to plan my Ikea trip this weekend. Looks very likely that I'll be picking up
automat76 from the airport when she comes back, so I need to have my shopping list ready. And I need to remember that I drive a very small car, and will still need to fit her luggage in, along with any purchases. :-)
