Yesterday turned out very well. Not only was I home to get my Fedex delivery, the jeweler called and my ring sizing was done early, so I got to pick that up too. Also got some resumes sent out (including one to my alma mater!) and a silly application for a contest.

Expect me to be pleading for your online vote soon. I want to win $500 worth of loot from the downtown mall here. :)

And now it's time for a meeting. Here's hoping being out yesterday means I'll be busy today!

I think this is really heartwarming in a way. I love stories of major philanthropists. I especially love that they upped the donation in order to compensate somewhat for the US's refusal of funds. That to me indicates that they have a true dedication to the cause.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation said Thursday it will give an additional $50 million to the United Nations's global fund to fight AIDS, a day after the United States said it won't give the resource-short charity any more money.
