Jul. 18th, 2004 12:56 pmYesterday was a day of wackiness. Woke up with a headache, and somehow decided it was from having slept "wrong." So I popped a couple of excedrin, then went off with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
automat76 to find coffee, and drag her into Wolfe Fiber Arts, where I found the lace shawl pattern I wanted (first one here), and some green yarn to make something for my grandma for Christmas. It's her fave color.
And then we went to buy mannequins. Yes, we hit the Lazarus going out of business sale. She bought three mannequins. I bought a couple bath towels, some panty hose, a scarf, a pair of men's Levi's and a mannequin leg---the kind they use for showing off socks and knee-highs. This I am planning on using to block socks, should I ever figure out how to knit any. I spent less than $50. Not a bad haul.
Headache was back by the time we finished all that up, but we picked upryan_rita and went to Marino's for all you can eat fish day. Yummy, but something in my body can't handle all that fried stuff at once I think. I stuffed myself and immediately felt horrible. Then we got trapped there, because a torrential downpour started and flooded all the streets of Grandview, so we had a terrible time crossing back over Olentangy River Road to get back home. I came home and sat and felt like I had food poisoning for a few hours.
Felt a little better, and started blocking the first two rows of the afghan on my new blocking board.( Here's the photo )
I love it. I want to block everything now.
Then the migraine really hit hard. I managed to keep myself awake by knitting, and watching a movie, but went to bed around 11:30 or so. Then had really weird dreams all night, most of which took place in the little grocery store in my hometown, but I don't remember much other than that.
Today is ICFD: Chili Pepper. So I'm about to head off to Kroger to get my ingredients. And to Barnes & Noble to see if they have any of those Suss knits kits that people seem to be finding on clearance there in other parts of the country. I hate her designs, so I'm just scamming for the yarn.
