Jul. 25th, 2005 04:48 pmSo we all survived this weekend. Not only does it feel like I was gone for way more than 2 nights, it seems like the whole thing was about a month ago right now.

automat76 and HSJ to the airport. Only we were running really early, so we went to get coffee first. This was good, as it gave me an opportunity to get a nwe card for my sister and her new hubby, because I inexplicably couldn't (and still can't) find the gift bag and card I'd gotten months ago. On the way to the airport, my car started making a noise. Not the noise that the windshield normally makes at highway speeds, but an additional noise. It turned out to just be the little flap on the undercarriage that had come loose, so I set off after dropping them off to find duct tape for it. I'd kind of planned to go to sephora at Polaris on the way anyway, but when I got on 270, I realized Easton was close, so I went there. I ended up going in to Nordstrom and getting them to do my face at the Stila counter and buying makeup, including the best foundation I've ever owned. I also got a pair of shoes, because there was a fantastic sale going on. So I now have dansko Mary Janes and won't wear my professional clogs out quite so fast hopefully. Then it was on to an office store to get duct tape, so that I could crawl under the car in my fully made up face and tape the stupid flap back up under the car.
