Just won a pass for two yoga classes at Yoga On High. So now, I can't use finances as an excuse for not going back.

Photos of recently finished socks are coming soon. Do all you knitters find hand knit socks comfy? I wore mine with my clogs last night, and they rubbed the balls of my feet funny. Not sure if it's the yarn (Magic Stripes) or if it would be better at a smaller gauge (these were on 2s, but I could use 1s and be happy) or if I needed to wash them first (likely).

I also should have angora armwarmers by this evening. I got one finished last night (although I do need to redo the picot edge) and should be able to get the other one done today and sew them up. Yay!

I haven't had problems with my hand knit socks, but have heard others mention the same problem you had. A couple of solutions are to do the bottom of the foot in reverse stockinette so the smooth side is next to your foot ..... or to continue the slip stitch pattern normally used for the heel flap along the sole of the foot. I did the slip stitch pattern on a pair of socks and the sole is really cushy and isn't showing as much sign of wear as my non slip stitch soled socks.

Hmmm....that's not a bad idea. I've been toying with the idea of trying to copy some of my running socks in handknit socks, and that might work for that too!
